SPORT SUPPLY GROUP TEAMS UP WITH P.E.4LIFE TO OFFER ON-LINE STORE

 

 

Dallas, Texas Monday, April 8, 2002 - Sport Supply Group, Inc. (OTCBB: SSPY) today announced that it has signed an agreement with P.E.4LIFE to jointly market an on-line sporting goods store to all schools, teachers and students in the United States.

As part of the agreement Sport Supply Group will provide the technology and on-line store making it possible for P.E.4LIFE to offer more than 8,000 products directly to its members and participants. P.E.4LIFE will receive a percentage of all sales made by its store.

P.E.4LIFE is a non-profit organization founded in January, 2000 and based in Washington D.C. The organization was formed to promote and expand physical education programs in America’s schools.

The goals of the organization are to raise awareness about the physical inactivity levels of America's youth and the state of physical education across the nation, to promote the need for reforming educational policy to include mandatory daily physical education classes for children in grades K-12 , promote model quality physical education programs in every state, empower physical educators, parents and community leaders to become advocates for quality, daily physical education and stimulate private and public funding for quality physical education.
