OF COLUMBIA ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY OR WIN. OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED
OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN: Contest starts on March 15,
2003 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") and ends
on April 7, 2003 at 11:59 p.m. EST unless and until otherwise modified
or terminated by Sport Supply Group, Inc. ("Sponsor"). Limit:
one entry per person. Contest entrants must be at least 18 years old
to enter. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM EST on March 20,
2003 to be eligible to win.
2. HOW TO PLAY: Enter your e-mail address in the box marked email
address and your entry name in the box marked entry name. Select teams
you think will win in each match-up completing all tournament brackets.
Select the team you think will win the championship and the total
points you estimate will be scored by both teams combined in the final
game. Hit the "Submit" button. In case of a dispute, entries
will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail
address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder"
is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address
by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization
that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain
associated with the submitted e-mail address.
3. DRAWING: On or around April 7, 2003 one (1) potential Grand Prize
Winner ("Potential Winner") will be selected from among
all eligible entries received during the Contest entry period. The
Winner will be the entrant who picks the correct team to win the championship
and identified the correct or closest total number of points scored
by both teams in the final game. In the event multiple entries include
the same team as Champion and the same number of total points scored,
a Winner will be selected at random from those eligible entries. (4)
Consolation Prize Winners (“Potential Consolation Winners”)
will be selected at random from among those entries with the correct
final four teams selected in the tournament entry. The drawings will
be conducted by Sponsor whose decisions shall be final and binding
in all matters pertaining to this promotion. Winners will be notified
via e-mail within approximately seven (7) days of drawing. Taxes,
if any, are the responsibility of the Winner.
4. PRIZE (1 Grand Prize): One (1) Grand Prize Winner ("Winner")
will receive from Sponsor a prize ("Prize") determined at
the sole discretion of Sponsor to be a $500 shopping spree on any
Sponsor website which include www.BSNSports.com, www.League Direct.com,
www.US-Games.com and www.eSportsonline.com. Four (4) Consolation Prize
Winners (“Winner”) will receive from the Sponsor a $50 eGift
Certificate for eSportsonline.com. Winners are ineligible to win another
contest for a period of twelve (12) months, commencing as of the Month
that the initial Contest was won. The Grand Prize will be delivered
to the Winner via ground delivery by a carrier chosen by Sponsor.
All federal, state, and local sales, use, income and other taxes,
are solely Winner's responsibility. Odds of winning depend upon the
number of eligible entries received.
5. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open to all legal residents of the
50 United States of America and the District of Columbia, who are
18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees (and members
of their immediate families and households) of Sponsor, its parents,
affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, promotional and marketing
agencies and other individuals or entities involved in the development,
supply to, administration or fulfillment of this Contest ("Sponsor,
et al.") are ineligible to participate. No entrant may use more
than one name to participate in this Contest, and any attempt to participate
otherwise will be deemed to be an abuse of the Contest and will result
in ineligibility to participate in or win this or any other of Sponsor's
Contests. Entries must have the winning team select in the Championship
field to be entered in the drawings. The Winner will be notified by
e-mail and will be required to provide certain information, e.g.,
complete name, mailing address, date of birth, day time phone number
and Social Security Number within three (3) days of notification or
Prize will be forfeited and alternate Winners will be selected. Winner
may be required in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to sign and return
an Affidavit of Eligibility/Compliance & Liability/Publicity Release
releasing Sponsor, et al. from any liability in connection with the
Contest or the Prize including, without limitation, liability in connection
with any injuries, damages or losses of any kind, whether to person
or property, including death, arising out of or resulting from, whether
directly or indirectly, the acceptance, enjoyment, use or misuse of
any Prize. The Affidavit & Release must be signed, notarized and
received by Sponsor within twenty-one (21) days of notification of
selection as a Winner or Prize will be forfeited and an alternate
Winner will be selected. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
6. GENERAL: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to these
Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which are final and binding
in all matters and all respects relating to this promotion. Entering
the Contest constitutes permission to use Winner's name, city and
state of residence for posting of Winners on the Sponsor’s Web
site(s) and Catalog(s) without additional compensation, except where
prohibited by law. Acceptance of Prize constitutes permission to use
Winner's name, photograph, videotape or other likeness, address, voice
and/or statements for advertising/promotion purposes as Sponsor, et
al. so determines without additional compensation, except where prohibited
by law. By entering, entrants acknowledge that Sponsor, et al. have
neither made, nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty,
representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law,
relative to the Prize. Sponsor, et al. are not responsible for interrupted
or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications,
failed telephone or computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or
misdirected entries or transmissions, or for phone, electrical, network,
computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or
difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions or deletions
of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage
to any person's computer related to participating in the Contest.
Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information,
whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or
human errors which may occur in the processing of the entries in this
Contest. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this
Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and
may be subject to prosecution. All materials submitted become the
property of Sponsor. If in the judgment of Sponsor, any Contest is
compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other
causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupts the administration,
security, fairness or proper play of any Contest, Sponsor reserves
the right, in its sole discretion to discontinue, suspend or terminate
the Contest. This promotion is subject to all applicable federal,
state and local laws and regulations. The interpretation of these
Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas,
other than principles relating to Conflict of Laws. Any and all disputes
will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the Dallas County in
the State of Texas exclusively, and subject to the laws of the State
of Texas, other than principles relating to Conflict of Laws. Any
personally identifiable information collected during your participation
in this Contest will be collected by Sponsor. Such information will
be used by Sponsor, et al. solely for purposes of the proper administration
and fulfillment of the Contest as described in these Official Rules
(unless you have indicated that you wish to receive promotional mailings
from us) and will not be shared with any third party, except as described
in these Official Rules, or in accordance with our posted Privacy
Policy, or as required by law.
